What's this? The update title is a quotation from a role-playing game??? Have I gone mad? Yes, yes I have.

  1. This Update. As always, let's start with the Final Fantasy submissions. First is Barananduen with a sexy Sephiroth for all you fangirls (and boys) out there. Next is Dead Fishie's homage to the latest Star Wars movie, though I think Obi-Wan would have even less trouble against Cait Sith than he would against any other Sith. Sajomir hits us up with some Yuffie yumminess, and Tatsku's Terra is totally terrific. Elsewhere in Fan Art World, Andrew Shikada continues his Star Ocean 3 series with Roger, while Kenton Alkemi gives us an adorable animated Albert from Romancing SaGa. Next up is Sarah Franks with everyone's favorite Rayearth mascot, Mokona, who seems to thoroughly enjoy being held by Hikaru. We also kick off a new line of Xenosaga Episode II submissions by shojokakumeii00 with a "Photoshop Doodle" of KOS-MOS (wish I doodled that well!). Rounding things off are a Dark Ages Priestess by (who else!) Temple Priestess and a colorized version of Zaciroth's submission to the previous OmniArt challenge.

  2. Otakon Panelist Selected. Thanks to everyone who wrote in asking to be on the Otakon Fan Art panel, but because I'm limited to only four slots total for panelists, and three were already taken, I could only fit one of you. So sorry! If you're heading to Otakon this August, be sure to stop by and see me, Onezumi, Nico Deyo, and Christy 'Nyanko' Lijewski (who you might remember as the winner of OmniArt 2005 Round Two) talk about how to turn a casual fan art hobby into something more profitable.

  3. What's Next? Next week is another regular fan art update, but I'm sure a lot of you are anxiously awaiting the announcement of the challenge for OmniArt 2005 Round Five which is also coming next week. As I mentioned last time, I've been looking forward to this round more than any other (yes, even more than the Selphie round), and I'm sure you'll all have tons of fun with the next challenge.
