The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Fanfare
Artist's Comments:This song was my first arrangement ever done. It never made it out of Midi Format, so I gifted it with poorly crafted wings. The trouble with this one was that I guess I put a tie on a trumpet note that was never closed, so at the end of the piece, there was a long, long G being played. We're talking 14 or 15 seconds of this one single note. So I plugged it into the Sound Recorder that comes with windows and cut it off at the end. Snipped that tailing note right off of it. At least it's relatively small!

Zelda II: The Adventures of Link - The Eleven Day Journey
Artist's Comments:This remix was originally created for the 1st ever Fruity Loops Music Competition(in which I tied 4th place) held in the general forums. The guildlines of the compitition stated that you could only use the default instruments and materials that came with the program Fruity Loops(known now as FL Studio). No outside materials(such as VSTs and soundfonts) are acceptable.  A fellow remixer by the name of Rellik convinced me to participate and I had only 11 days to get something done, which ties into naming the title as it is. I had always wanted to do a Zelda II remix, so I'm glad Rellik told me about the compo.  By order of another fellow remixer by the name of Rexy, I am to submit this remix to yaz. So, cheers...

> Without music, life is a journey through a desert - Pat Conroy

Another week has come and gone, though much more relaxed this time for me and most college students around the country on spring break. The downfall to having a big break for me is that I inevitably make tons of plans to get things done, and almost none of those plans go through. I should know myself better than to try to stick to a to-do list, but I guess I figured that I might kick the old procrastination habit. No such luck.

So, while I sit here procrastinating over a list of about 18 different activities and chores, let me at least enlighten your world with some music. First off we have a relatively short but sweet mix of the fanfare from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, done by Kevin Kelly. For a quickie translation from midi to mp3, as well as a first mix ever, this is a nice piece. I strongly believe that looking back at our musical roots is one of the best ways to learn and grow. Following Kevin Kelly, is Kevin "Lorenzo" Sisk with another Zelda mix, this time from The Adventures of Link. A very well planned out and evolving mix, I really enjoyedthe piece as it changed moods throughout. Awesome work.

So, without further ado, I must be going. After all, I can't be procrastinating my, err, procrastination. Actually, isn't that a paradox? Because if I procrastinate my procrastination, I am not procrastinating, but if I stop procrastinating my procrastination, then I am still procrastinating. Oh man, now my brain hurts.
