Another slow week here at sound test, with no submissions in my inbox. Just spam. And more spam. Did I mention spam? Anyhow, I guess its just the wrong time of the year for submissions. That or everyone who would be submitting is working on final round material. Anyhow, to address this situation, I created the Sound Test Dice Game.
What I did was took my 30 sided, 12 sided, and 5 sided dice (yes, I actually own 30 and 5 sided dice) and I roll them to determine the day month and year I will draw my submission from. Then I roll another die that corresponds to the number of submissions in the update, and there you have it. Of course, it takes a lot of rolls to get a real update because of the weekly nature, but I love rolling dice, so that's ok. My collection of dice is about 8 pounds, so I got to try out many poor neglected dice as I went through.
Anyhow, I am pleased with my little game's results. Two good retro submissions for your ears. If you haven't heard them before, you are in for a treat. Anywho, only two weeks until the deadline for the final round of Splendid Performance, so start getting your work done and sent in! I look forward to hearing it.
