Final Fantasy IV - Absolution in White
Artist's Notes:This is actually a request that I worked on-and-off for Arek the Absolute at the OverClocked Remix boards (hence the title). He wanted me to cover FFIV's "Toroian Beauty", requesting specifically that the waltz feel of the source tune remains intact. What I also found out was that he was one of those people that loved my Mana medley, which left me to craft a version initially written for four pianos, but having got commentary based on the general execution this was soon toned down to two performers sharing a single piano. Arek really appreciated what I did with this one; even prior to this event, he's one of the most distinctive members of OCR you would ever get to speak to. Thanks for listening :)

Chrono Cross - OST Review
Reviewer's Notes: Though Mr. Yasunori Mitsuda had worked on several video game soundtracks prior to this one, the Chrono Cross Original Soundtrack is only his sophomore solo compilation as a composer. Fortunately for RPG music fans, this album sounds more like a senior effort by a master of the game music art form.

> Without music, life is a journey through a desert - Pat Conroy

So, E3 2006 has come and gone and so have my finals. So, that means things should be returning to a normal pace for everyone, especially here at RPGamer.

So far, things are looking up here at Sound Test, as we have 2 submissions and a small backlog ready to go. Our first submission, two weeks in a row, comes from Rexy who submits an awesome Final Fantasy 4 remix. Following that, we have another soundtrack review from the commander-in-chief of the soundtrack reviews, Elliot Guisinger. A well-thought-out review of Chrono Cross, hopefully it might convince anyone who was thinking about picking it up to go out and grab it.

That's all for now. Stay tuned for what I'm hoping will be an action and music packed summer. You can expect some form of contest to creep into the forefront soon, but that's all I can say for now.
