Quest for Glory II - Julanar
Artist's Comments:I took the MIDI and due to, uhm, popular demand (sort of) I went through the process of collecting software and soundfonts. Just so I could submit a piece and become *gasp* a part of this contest! Mind you, this is my first non-midi submission with rendered soundfonts, so I'm still kind of figuring stuff out. Hope it doesn't hurt your ears TOO much... Enjoy!

Final Fantasy Series - Baby Chocobo Walk
Artist's Comments:I decided to have a little fun with this one. I was singing Mancini's "Baby Elephant Walk" when the idea of mixing the idea from that piece with Uematsu's Chocobo theme. The result is a jingle that's short and to the point. This is my first mix since I've gotten my new powerbook, so it might be a little rough around the edges. Feel free to email me your complaints, comments or criticisms.

Another week has come and gone, so I welcome you back to sound test. It's been a very busy day, with the contest results being posted, so I am gonna get right into the music, and then blab more later.

First off we have the Splendid Performance version of Kevin Kelly's Julinar piece from Quest for Glory II. For those of you paying attention, he submitted a MIDI version two weeks ago. He managed to get this in before the deadline, although it ended up getting drowned in a mass of spam. So yea, it's totally contest legal, and will be on the results page. Our second piece this week comes from RPGamer's own Matt "Barieuph" Russo. A interesting theme he has going there in a fun short piece. Defiantly worth the download.

All said and done, this was a very exciting contest round. I congratulate those who placed in the top three, as well as all those who entered. I must say that each round seems to bring even more intense competition, which results in even better music for everyone to listen to. So again, thanks for entering and to everyone who hasn't gotten a place in the final round, be sure to check out next week's contest announcement when I unveil the final audition round of the contest. Oh boy, is it a doozie.

And here they are, the Splendid Performance: Audition 3 Results!
