I was originally going to name this update Time Warp, but I felt it might have brought about expectations of Rocky Horror references, so I changed it. I hope no one is offended by this, but I'm just not a big fan of that movie. My friends call me names for my judgment, but I stick to my guns.
This week is a Zelda-filled week to be sure. To start things off, I transposed the dungeon music from the original Legend of Zelda. After watching a 30 minute speed run of the game at the Penny Arcade Expo, I've been playing it quite often, trying to do deathless runs and speed runs, and this music has been stuck in my head constantly. So I thought I should transpose it and let everyone have some fun with the tune themselves. Following that, Michael "Darangen" Boyd makes his return to Sound Test after a brief hiatus. He brings us an acoustic rendition of his piece Falling Back, which won the fourth round of the Splendid Performance contest. Amazing vocals and interesting guitar overlap make this a fantastic listen.
That's all for now. Hopefully submissions will pick up as we march further into the fall season. So, until next week, take care and enjoy the music.
