Wild ARMs - Soundtrack Review

Reviewer's Notes: Wild ARMs was an early PlayStation RPG that earned a special place in the hearts of many gamers. Purchased by several as a mere "hold-over" until the Final Fantasy VII juggernaut arrived on our shores, most gamers actually found a surprisingly good game in Wild Arms. Therefore, it should be no surprise that the game's old west-flavored themes and hummable tunes earned a similar place in the memories of these gamers.

Final Fantasy VI - Loves Lost

Artist's Notes: This is an interesting mix, I'm not too sure how I managed to come out with this finished product. It's a mix of Epitaph and Forever Rachel. Though both loves are dead, I did not want to write a requiem, but rather I decided to illustrate their relationships with their fellow lovers. Inherent in the mix are the good times, and the more frusterating times that lovers experience throughout a relationship. Defnitely one of my more bizarre submissions here.

It's that time of the week again. Time for me to post an exciting new update and time for you to check it out. Well, that was quite a weak opening line, but I'm a bit drowsy right now. Seems I pulled a koala bear, and slept for 17 nearly uninterrupted hours. Feels good though, I must admit.

This week is another staff only week, with Elliot "Carlisle" Guisinger bringing us his 5th consecutive submission. This week he reviews the original Wild ARMs soundtrack for us. Following that up, Barieuph steps back into the mainstream RPGs with a remix from Final Fantasy VI. A very interesting mix of the two themes, he keeps the instrumentation simple, making for a excellent listen.
