Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap - Little Hylians
Artist's Notes: This was my entry for the Peoples' Remix Competition 80, where Sir Nuts decided to get many people together to remix the Minish Woods theme from Zelda: The Minish Cap on the Gameboy Advance. This is actually the first full-instrument work I've made since the Summer break, so of course it would mean a good chance to brush up on what I knew about song development under a short time frame. Though I didn't win (I was beaten to first by Dragonlord), I still found it as a fun experience to take up remixing Zelda again. I hope you guys like it, and if you want to make something for PRC81, please visit the OCR boards this Friday ;)

Final Fantasy - FFanfare
Artist's Notes: While I've not had a chance to play through the newest Final Fantasy, my friend told me an ugly rumor that my favorite piece of FF music was omitted, that being the fanfare. So, to keep it alive in my heart, I wrote out a little version of it for piano. Simple enough for a total piano novice like myself to play, I hope everyone enjoys it.

> Without music, life is a journey through a desert - Pat Conroy

It is officially November, and the titles keep rolling in. While I managed to clean house in Children of Mana, I've yet to touch Final Fantasy XII, and now I've got Final Fantasy V advance added to the RPG pile, with Elite Beat Angels and Guitar Hero 2 to soothe the musician in me. If anyone knows where I can locate some more hours during the week, I would love to know.

This week we continue the solid two submissions pace. First up is Rexy with a truely outstanding piece from Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. A great piece, it also gives Minish Cap its first remix. Following that is a piece of sheet music I finished up. Two years ago, I did the melody for a solfege test in my Ear Training class, and i figured I could add a bass part and learn to play it on piano. It is easy enough for the novice piano player like me, so I suggest giving it a whirl.

Next week, there will be a special announcement here at Sound Test. What is it? You'll have to stop in and find out.
