    Pretty much done.

Welcome, one and all, to another exciting update here and RPGamer's Sound Test. What makes it so exciting? Well the fact that there is another staff member here today with me. His name is Matt, which is a terrific name, but you can call him 'barieuph' for sanity's sake. He will be hanging around working with me on a pleathora of things. What these 'things' are exactly has yet to be ironed out, but when we know, we will let you know too. So, without further ado, let me let Matt introduce himself.

Matt(the new(er) one): Hello RPGamer! I'm barieuph, speaking to you today as RPGamer's new "Composer & Sound Engineer." I remember surfing this site when I was a wee lad, back before it was even RPGamer, and now, working here is nothing short of a dream. Besides music, I play a lot of DDR and videogames in general, watch anime (fansubs included), and more of your normal cliched "geek" activities. I play several musical instruments, one of them being God's instrument, the trombone, as well as the violin, viola and some electric bass. I'll be around #rpgamer or some of the other channels if you feel this little bio is insufficient and you just need to learn more about me. End other Matt transmission.

Yea, so I worry about confusion abounding because our names are the same, but hey, thats what nicks and handles are for. Anywho, this week we bring you two submissions. The first is from fellow staff member Carlisle, who brings us a solo guitar arrangement from Xenogears. The second entry we have for this week is from first time remixer, Matt Davidson, who brings us his Sonic Revolution submission, an arrangement from Final Fantasy Adventure. Although I can't really talk much about the merits of Matt's submission, I would like to give a big hats off to him for not only being the first to submit a piece for the Sonic Revolution competition, but also for taking his first plunge into the remixing world.

So there you have it. A brief update to be sure, my apologies for that. My return to school has been much more forceful then I expected. I promise next week will be an bottomless well of fun and music. With that, I bid you all farewell and remind you to send in your competition submissions.

Remember, Sound Test now has a designated IRC chatroom on Espernet, #operahouse. Be sure to read the RPGamer IRC guide for more information.

This week's audio selections
mp3 rock Xenogears Unplugged (Xenogears)
Carlisle

This is an arrangement of the world map theme from Xenogears, "Emotions." It's me playing live on my guitar; however, I've only been playing for six months, so it's not mistake-free, nor anything spectacular, but I still like it.

mp3 classical Fall of the Mana Family (Final Fantasy Adventures)
Matt Davidson

Well, this is my first-ever remix, I thought I should give it a try. The song is "Mission of Mana" from "Final Fantasy Adventure", and the original composer is none other than Kenji Ito. The reason I chose this song is because of the raw emotion behind it. If you've played FFA, I'm sure you know what I mean. So without further ado, I give you "Fall of The Mana Family"
