    Pretty much done.

I had something really, really profound to say this week, and now I can't remember what it was. It was brilliant, too. Maybe it had something to do with the cockroach I found crawling around the rim of my clothes hamper a couple of days ago...nope, it wasn't that.

Still an intense backlog, and it'll be backing up more because I'm going to Massachusetts this weekend to go to my aunt's wedding. I hate backlog; it makes me feel like I have so much I should be doing, but I'm not doing it. I'm just glad I remembered why I hated playing Final Fantasy XI, which is to say, partying and leveling. I haven't played in two days because I hate partying so much. Being a WHM is so boring.

I've been really impressed by the MIDI submissions lately. I know it's not safe to say that MIDI is swinging back into fashion, but the quality of the music I've received is among the most impressive I've heard. Excellent work this week, Zeke.

Another submission in a faded and antiquital medium, Sketchs25 sent in a hilarious tracker of a piece from Chrono Cross. My only complaint is that it's way too short! Very funny stuff, though.

Some people are starting to learn they need to have '[Submission]' in the subject of their emails, but I had to reject a really creative original song, an ode to a friend of the composer and to the world of Final Fantasy XI, because it was an original composition. Of course, I'm all in favor of people writing their own music, but unfortunately, this isn't the right forum to display original works. It was a good song, and that made it even harder for me to reject it...

Anyway, remember the guidelines and keep me happy.

Ah! I remember what it was I was going to say, but it's not as profound as I thought. It's been 305 days since I first updated, six days more than the next longest curator run, by Matt Scipione. I'm two updates behind to tie with him at forty, so before I become the longest running music curator without any technicalities, I need another three weeks. That's all; it wasn't really that important.

This week's audio selections
MIDI Classical Friendship (Bahamut Lagoon)
Ezekiel Morgano

Bahamut Lagoon...wonderful game...wonderful music. This is the Friendship theme with a few hints of some of the other themes in the game. Hope everyone likes it. On a different note...personally, I would like to see more arrangments/variations where the composer doesn't just write the song note for note from the game. Some of these are dreadfully slow and uneventful. Get creative...do something new. But enough of my rambling...listen to the song.

IT None The Great Sneff's Troupe (Chrono Cross)
Sketchs25 a/k/a Dave Peacock

This is the piece that plays when you are changed into cats on the Zelbess. I think it's a pretty funny piece just because I keep imagining Sneff saying "3...2...1...POOF!" (I think that's what he said...) Anyhoo, this will be my first submission anywhere and yeah! It's exclusive to RPGamer (unless someone steals it and claims it as theirs on some other site! ^^)
