September 04, 2007 - October 15, 2007 6:00 PM PDT. Theme: Any piece of music from the SaGa series. Instrumentation: Must be arranged a la The Black Mages. Since their music has a fairly wide scope you can be creative, but there should be a bit of progressive rock. Round 4 is me at my most sadistic yet. To earn points for the theme score in round 4 will be fairly simple, just arrange a SaGa series track in the vein of The Black Mages. For those of you who haven't heard of The Black Mages, go buy their album now, right now. But seriously, The Black Mages are described by whoever wrote the Wikipedia article as Genre(s) Instrumental rock, Symphonic rock, Neo-classical metal, and Progressive metal. So that should give you an idea of the genre we're looking for. Check out their website as I believe they have a few samples. And so Round 4 is over. Emerging on top this round is Virtuoso! In second is newcomer Kain Vinosec, and close behind is Fermat's Last Theorem. Wish them all luck as you'll be hearing from these three along with nerv in the Final Round!

Does the piece flow solidly from section to section, and stay fresh without becoming repetitive? Is listening to this song enjoyable? Production (10%) - This category encompasses the technical qualities of the sound, including the quality of samples used, of any recording done, and of mixing and panning.
