A Grassy Frog in the Park
New Age Game(s): Chrono Trigger
MP3
Download: [Download (548.32k)]
Comment: This is the final of SNES Classics Ringtone series. There are two flavors this time, both in MP3 format for now. Frog's theme is one of my favorites, but rather than have it in a traditional fanfare fashion, I opted for a more easygoing style. The flavors are based on how loud you need the ringer to be. Tin is a little more crass in the bass which is easier to hear from a long distance, while Grassy is simply for your own pleasure. Enjoy!

Comment: This is a project I had to work on for my Music Technology course for music educators. It's supposed to utilize basic Garageband functions to put together a piece. It's simple yet fun. I hope you enjoy. (NOTE: This is the first piece I've ever presented with a percussion section, interesting little barieuph factoid.)
Baroque Netherworld
Piano Game(s): Disgaea: Hour of Darkness
MP3
Download: [Download (2305.47k)]
Comment: To narrow in on one influence would be an injustice. Classical music influenced me on this one. It's likened to a Bach Govotte however, there are many "un-bach-isms" throughout the piece. It was fun to use Tenpei Sato's fun theme. Enjoy! Sheet Music to follow!
Hot Chocobo
New Age Game(s): Final Fantasy
MP3
Download: [Download (251.07k)]
Comment: Here is HotChocobo and HotChoco. Choco is shorter than the Chocobo, both in letter count and song length, and the both come in two flavors Mp3, and Midi. I've been mulling over the standard ringtones that every RPGamer had, and what cellphone would be complete without the Chocobo theme. I'm working on a few more for y'all. Talk up the ringtones in the forum and let me know what you think!

Baby Chocobo Walk
Classical Game(s): Final Fantasy
MP3
Download: [Download (1456.83k)]
Comment: I decided to have a little fun with this one. I was singing Mancini's "Baby Elephant Walk" when the idea of mixing the idea from that piece with Uematsu's Chocobo theme. The result is a jingle that's short and to the point. This is my first mix since I've gotten my new powerbook, so it might be a little rough around the edges. Feel free to email me your complaints, comments or criticisms.

Fanfare for the Modern Man
New Age Game(s): Final Fantasy V
MIDI
Download: [Download (4.21k)]
Comment: To kick off our new submission format, here is everyone's favorite tune! This is the victory fanfare from Final Fantasy V. It's pretty basic, presented in both mp3 rendered, and cheesy but good midi formats. I tried both out on my phone, and they sound great. This is new and exciting, and I can't wait to see what everyone will come up with.

Atop the Gathering Place
Piano Game(s): Final Fantasy VI
MIDI
Download: [Download (11.91k)]
Comment: This is a tune inspired by my piano class and a long night in the Practice Room. It is intended for a pianist who just wants to sit down and play some Final Fantasy themes, not for the pianist who wants to play Piano Collections style work. It's fairly basic except for some movement in the right hand in the second half. It's a midi right now because I might expand this to another ensemble or do a render later. Enjoy!

Comment: I finally went through and got some new software here, so I've started playing around with new sounds and such. The result of which is an mp3 render of Atop the Gathering Place, that was submitted a few weeks ago. This was done through my new version of Finale with Garritan Personal Orchestra that my music school has made me purchase. What better way to test out how Finale is getting into the digital music scene (versus, staying with just notation) than to work on something for RPGamer? Included is the PDF sheet music. As for Finale? It's not too shabby, but next week we'll try listening to something through Reason. Stay tuned!

Comment: This is a piece that I had a great time writing because I was allowed to explore several different styles. At the end I had a little fun but it was all good. Here is a zip with JPG and PDF files for your enjoyment. Have fun with this one guys!

Piano Game(s): Final Fantasy VI
MP3
Download: [Download (2301.74k)]
Comment: This particular piece is the result of me sitting at a piano and being really bored. I didn't really bother with trying to map out the direction and just went with it. The result is this variety of variations on Shadow's Theme from Final Fantasy VI. Shadow goes through a lot of transitions, the finale being the most interesting. This was meant purely for fun, and I know that some will hate it, while others might just like it. Enjoy!
Loves Lost
Classical Game(s): Final Fantasy VI
MP3
Download: [Download (9364.02k)]
Comment: This is an interesting mix, I'm not too sure how I managed to come out with this finished product. It's a mix of Epitaph and Forever Rachel. Though both loves are dead, I did not want to write a requiem, but rather I decided to illustrate their relationships with their fellow lovers. Inherent in the mix are the good times, and the more frusterating times that lovers experience throughout a relationship. Defnitely one of my more bizarre submissions here.
Dispatch - Soul of the Warrior
Classical Game(s): Final Fantasy VI
MP3
Download: [Download (7396.19k)]
Comment: This is my favorite mix I've ever made. There I said it. I dabble in the theme never exposing too much of it until the second section. Cyan is a great character and his theme is one of my favorites from the game (which houses the best soundtrack out of any Final Fantasy, least in my opinion). It's a painting of Cyan's last experience at Doma Castle with the poisoning of his kingdom. It starts with a morning dawn, and fades away as Cyan walks into the sunset. Enjoy.
Terra in Three
Classical Game(s): Final Fantasy VI

Comment: rom one of my favorite RPGs, my first remix as staff. Terra in 3/4 time for all you music nerds out there. Enjoy!
Penelo Theme
Piano Game(s): Final Fantasy XII
MP3
Download: [Download (3307.01k)]
Comment: I wrote this simple piece to honor the release of FFXII. It's a simple arrangement based on Panelo's Theme, just the A phrase. It's simple, for piano and that's about it. Enjoy.
The Place I long to be
Classical Game(s): Illusion of Gaia
MP3
Download: [Download (3324.2k)]
Comment: Well I was sitting at the piano and I started to play Pachabel's Canon. All of a sudden I found myself playing the South Cape theme from Illusion of Gaia. The rest flowed pretty easily. I also bring in a little Itory Village during the middle section. All in all this is more of an update than a remix, not too much new content, but still fun to listen to anyway. Oh yeah, the aim was to get it to sound as shmaltzy as Ragnorok Online music, I hope I succeeded. Enjoy!
