A more subdued, almost lazy, mix of the high-energy battle anthem composed by Nobuo Uematsu for Sephiroth's mother. To make the difference more striking, I also shifted the time signature to 6/8. Enjoy.

Composed for solo piano using Sibelius 5 and rendered by Kouen using SONAR 7 Producer Edition.

Whereas the remixed theme comes from a track associated with a "calamity from the heavens," it was a "calamity from below" that literally and metophorically shook not only Japan, but the world these past several days. Readers of Sound Test, a solemn moment for all those who were affected...

"Heavenly Mother" or "Mother from the Heavens" is what the remix's title translates to, but we all know how far from divine the associated character is. The track is an interesting mix of straightforward and different. It utilizes nearly the exact same melody, with just a few embellishments. However, the time signature and the entire mood have been shifted to give it a distinct flavor. Give it a try.

That's it for this relatively brief update. Expect to hear a track from GDawgTUK very soon. Until then! Have a great weekend!
