From my first soundtrack review to the first original composition of mine to be played live... Well, potentially, because as I mentioned in the author's notes, the performance was postponed indefinitely. Still, it's a rather awesome feeling. The piece is unlike most of my structured pieces—almost rhapsodic, actually, with the alla marcia finale erupting unexpectedly after predominantly lyric preceding segments. Still, I hope you guys like it. Constructive criticisms are, as always, very much welcome.
Pardon the late update, as I am now in the Department of Medicine and am experiencing one of the most tiring, but also perhaps the most intellectually rewarding of the rotations. I went on duty yesterday and had stayed in the wards for precisely 37 hours straight. I feel rather tired, and would love to go to sleep right now, but I have a couple of topics to report on tomorrow. Did I mention that it's very tiring?
Anyway, I hope Mr. Linam's performance pushes through, and I had asked him for a recording of the live performance. For now, we shall have to bear with a rendered version of the piece. As promised, Kain Vinosec will return next week with the rest of his Final Fantasy IV EP.
Have a great weekend, guys, and wish me luck for tomorrow.
