Originally I was going to title this column "Review Storm", but when I got back
from vacation a couple weeks ago, the cicadas of Brood XIV had hatched turning my
backyard into a cacophony of insect mating calls. Apparently the first few days
our cats were so scared they would not venture off the porch without a human
accompanying them.
I have put a pretty good dent in the backlog of reviews I needed to write. This
update has five reviews, slanted heavily toward titles in the Pathfinder Chronicles
setting and a review of a title designed to help history teachers present the
battles of history in a more engaging manner.
Do not forget, we have launched some new games in the Roleplaying Forum.
Of course we are always looking for new players and Game Masters who are interested in a little Play-By-Post. Swing by and
start a game, or join one.

The 4th edition of Dungeons & Dragons is out at last, although it may be several
weeks or months before the digital components, part of DND Insider are released.
Here at the Saving Throw we are very interested in hearing your thoughts and comments
on the newest release. Be sure and send them in. If you do not (or even if you do) have the 4th Edition core rule books
(Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide, Monster Manual)
and would like an opportunity to win a set, simply send your name and mailing address in an email to the
email address below. Entries must be received by July 1st.
Again, if you have any suggestions, ideas, or other things you think might improve the column,
just click on the e-mail link below and send me an e-mail. I am particularly interested in any ideas for format change you might have.
I am thinking of doing some forum-based updates--I always seem to get news items the day after I post the column as
well.
