In what should be our last piece of GoG.com-related news for some time, RPGamer is pleased to report that Baldur's Gate II is now available on the DRM-free service. The package, which includes the original Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn and its expansion, Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal, costs $9.99.

To quote GoG.com's description of the game, "It's hard to compare this game to any other, since it's usually other games that are compared to Baldur's Gate 2." One of the most acclaimed RPG classics, Baldur's Gate II pioneered and refined many of the most popular aspects of modern Western RPGs such as moral choices and inter-party dynamics. It earned RPGamer's PC RPG of the Year in 2000, and remains a favourite of many PC gamers to this day.
