Obviously, impressively done; you've managed to transform a "meek" and shy piece into a rather triumphant piece of work. Most impressive, I think, is that while the theme is obviously there in the notes themselves (and repeated numerous times), it's quite easy to forget or "lose track of" the original feel of the theme at the same time. That said, it's a little bit repetitive, and despite the slight changes in ornaments from part to part, the only majorly noticeable changes occur in the key changes dotted everywhere through the song (which are done really well, mind you). Great job!

Classical piano, very Chopin-esq just as you said. The style itself seperates it from the source and makes its sound very different, however, I am not sure if it really fits a new purpose with its new style. Regardless, this is a very technical, very well written piece. I would love to see the sheet music for it, if only to gasp out the intricate nature of it. Classic Trickwaters work here, very nice.
