This year has been one of the most diverse ever for RPGs. With more multiplatform releases, a new portable console, and the rise of downloadable games, 2011 was not only a unique year, but one where tastes were so varied that no one game seemed to dominate the genre. We had games where we had to make tough decisions, games with fantastic narrative tales, RPGs with beautiful soundtracks, worlds that look absolutely amazing, and some downright original content. So as we move into 2012, let's take a look back at the best of 2011.
