Final Viewpoint

[11/09/2008] Bethesda has done what I honestly thought they couldn't do. They won me over with Fallout 3. That isn't to say the game is perfect; I have a lot of issues with it, not the least of which is the "I Wish I Were an FPS" combat system. However, exploring the world is extremely enjoyable, and the bloody mess perk has managed to satiate my appetite for wanton violence, so I keep playing. I can't say I'm liking it quite as much as Mac or Glenn did, but I've put in a solid 30 or so hours and it's not slowing down yet. Hopefully, I'll be able to complete it and review it before my November plate gets filled up with Tales of Symphonia 2 and Persona 4.

Yes, that's right. We're getting an early copy of Persona 4. Yes, I get to play it. Yes, I will be rubbing this in your faces every week. But I will be kind enough to keep a review blog of my progress, and I expect it will be a lengthy one, considering how long Persona 3 was. I'm going to try to get through Tales of Symphonia 2 before I begin, which is set for release later this week. Fallout 3 may end up on the backburner for a while, sadly.

Only three reviews this week. Two for Fallout 3 and one for the latest Castlevania installation. Enjoy!
