Bandai Namco has a collection of new images for the upcoming action RPG Code Vein. These images show two characters, Louis and Yakumo, in key scenes. There is also information regarding Blood Tears and their use in-game.

Blood Tears are a consumable item used to placate the thirst for blood that Revenants have. They grow on Blood Tear Trees, though the spreading miasma is slowly ruining them and they are becoming more rare. The protagonist has a unique ability to spend his or her own blood to revitalize these trees, however. This is important, since without Blood Tears, Revenants would succumb to their desires and become the Lost. Another unique ability of the protagonist is to look into the past of their fallen comrades by means of crystalized memories that materialize upon death.

Code Vein comes from the creators of God Eater and takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where humans have gained supernatural abilities at the cost of severe bloodlust. The game is set to arrive on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2018.
