NIS America published a new blog post confirming that its planned update of the localistion for Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, as well as the game's PC release, will not be available until 2018. In addition to the script review and edits, as well as any voiceover re-recording that will be required, the publisher will use the extra time to further optimise the PC release ahead of its launch via Steam.

The latest title in Nihon Falcom's long-running series, Ys VIII follows Adol (and Dogi) after they become shipwrecked on the Isle of the Seiren.
