PlayStation Experience Sony Conference Round-up

Sony held a press conference today at its PlayStation Experience event in Las Vegas, where it focused on some of its upcoming titles. The conference included the mention or announcement of a number of RPGs.

One announcement was that the Kickstarted title Darkest Dungeon was will receive its console debut on PlayStation 4 in 2015. Meanwhile, Supergiant Games' debut title, Bastion, was revealed to be heading PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. Atlus' Persona 5 was also briefly mentioned to confirm that it would be released in North America on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 following its release in Japan.

Yakuza 5 was announced for a release in North America and Europe on PlayStation in 2015, with PSN versions of Yakuza 4 and Yakuza: Dead Souls to be made available for download this weekend. These titles will be joined on the North American PSN next week by Konami's Suikoden and Suikoden II, which will be available for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita as PS1 Classics.

Stoic's The Banner Saga had already been confirmed for a PlayStation 4 release, but is now also heading to PlayStation Vita. The RPG news was rounded off by the announcement of Final Fantasy VII for PlayStation 4 in Spring 2015. The release will be based off of the PC version of the game, and feature upscaled versions of the original graphics.
