Square Enix has announced the upcoming release of a limited edition boxed version of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Labled the "Game of the Year Edition", it will come in a box resembling the in-game weapon the Book of Diamonds. It will also contain five exclusive art cards. It includes a sixty-day digital time card on top of the standard thirty-day card, which brings the total up to ninety free days of play, and includes access to all of the game's updates so far. This boxed edition will be released on November 14, 2014 and is only available for the PC version.
The previously mentioned patch 2.4 of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, titled Dreams of Ice, will be released later this month, on October 28. This update includes the new Rogue class and Ninja job, three hard mode dungeons, and a storyline with Shiva as a major antagonist. A trailer for patch 2.4 can be viewed below.
