Square Enix has announced that it will be releasing a CD featuring the music from its More Friends concert, which took place at 2005's Electronics Entertainment Expo. It will be entitled "More Friends music from FINAL FANTASY ~Los Angeles Performance 2005~."

The More Friends concert was a modified version of the Dear Friends concert. In addition to the standard orchestral performance of songs from various Final Fantasy games, the concert also contained live renditions of the vocal themes from Final Fantasy IX and Final Fantasy X sung by the original vocalists, an arranged chocobo song done by concert conductor Arnie Roth, and a performance of the "Mario and Draco" opera from Final Fantasy VI. The main attraction, however, was the rendition of Final Fantasy VII's final battle theme featuring the full orchestra as well as composer Nobuo Uematsu's rock band, The Black Mages.

"More Friends music from FINAL FANTASY ~Los Angeles Performance 2005~" will be released in Japan on February 15, 2006. Despite the fact that the concert took place in North America, no North American release has been announced as yet.
