Atlus released the animated opening for the 3DS title Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux. The Japanese opening, shown in the video below, gives an overview of the game's story and introduces the major characters. This includes a character new to the 3DS version named Alex, who attacks the main protagonist for reasons not yet known.

Known in Japan as Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey, Shin Megami: Strange Journey Redux is an enhanced version of the original DS game released in 2009. The game will have updated graphics, new story content, additional endings, a new dungeon, and more. Strange Journey Redux will be released in Japan on October 26, 2017 and in North America and Europe in early 2018.
