Daedalic Entertainment announced that its space exploration RPG The Long Journey Home will be release on May 30, 2017. The game will be available through Steam priced at $39.99. Releases for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are also planned, but no date has been given.

In The Long Journey Home, players select a crew of four from ten potential members, each with unique skills and personalities. During their journey, the crew will encounter various alien races in the form of empires and smaller civilisations. Players will also need to manage risk by choosing whether or not to disembark on various planets in their hunt for resources. The Long Journey Home encourages multiple playthroughs, with Daedalic Entertainment stating that an individual playthrough of around six to eight hours should showcase roughly twenty percent of the overall content in the game.
