The Pokémon Company today released new videos and details for the newest generation of Pokémon games. These new videos introduce Pokémon Sun and Moon's three starter Pokémon, with the considerably different English and Japanese trailer variants viewable below. The trailers also reveal the game's release date, which will be on November 18, 2016, in North America and on November 23, 2016, in Europe.

As usual, there will be a Grass-type, Fire-type, and Water-type for new players to select as their first Pokémon. The Grass-type is the Grass Quill Pokémon, Rowlet. Standing 1' tall and weighing 3.3 lbs, it is also a Flying-type and has Leafage as its starting move. The Fire Cat Pokémon Litten is the Fire-type. It comes in at 1'04" and 9.5 lbs, with Ember as its starting move. The Sea Lion Pokémon Popplio is the final option. Also 1'04" tall but the heaviest at 16.5 lbs, its starting move is Water Gun.

Pokémon Sun and Moon is exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS. More details about the game are planned for reveal later in the year.
