Koei Tecmo recently released some information and screenshots focusing on the synthesis gameplay in its latest Atelier title, Atelier Firis: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Journey. In addition to the new images, the publisher also put out a new trailer that introduces some of the cast and briefly shows the new Atelier Tent system. In order to match he wandering lifestyle, main protagonist Firis uses a portable Atelier Tent so she can synthesise items wherever she is. Her tent can be personalised in various ways.

The actual synthesis sytem in Atelier Firis also includes some changes. Mass Synthesis is a new feature that allows players to create large items that can overcome environmental obstacles, such as building a bridge or creating a boat. Creating these items can cause locations to change and affect parts of the story.

The second title in the Mysterious sub-series (following Atelier Sophie), Atelier Firis is set to be released in North America on March 7, 2017, before reaching Europe a few days later on March 10, 2017. The game will be available physically and digitally for PlayStation 4 and digitally for PlayStation Vita and PC (via Steam).
