Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen

Last year, Capcom announced Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, an expansion for Dragon's Dogma, and now that expansion has a release date. Dark Arisen will be available as both a physical disc and a digital download on April 23 in North America and April 26 in Europe. Capcom has not released full pricing details, but it appears the game will cost $39.99 in North America.

Dark Arisen is an expansion to the original Dragon's Dogma, and anyone who played the original game will be able to export their characters and save data into the new game. In doing so, owners of the original game will receive 100,000 Rift Crystals, unlimited Ferrystones, and a DLC "Gransys Armor Pack" that includes six costumes. However, Dark Arisen also functions as a standalone game, and anyone who hasn't played Dragon's Dogma can play through the entire original game with just Dark Arisen and take advantage of the new features provided by the expansion while doing so.

The expansion adds a lot of new content to the game, including an extended story, new dungeons, 25 new enemies, 14 new augments, an entire new tier of skills, more than 100 new pieces of equipment, and new character customization options. It will also feature upgrade such as easier travel options, an altered menu system, and the option to hear the game's Japanese voices.
