With both the original The Legend of Zelda and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past already available, Link is no stranger to the Wii's Virtual Console. This week Nintendo announced that another game in the series is about join the ranks. This time it will be The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which many consider to be the most outstanding game in the series.
Originally released in November 1998 for the Nintendo 64, Ocarina of Time went on to sell over seven million units and won the Game of the Year award at the second Annual Interactive Achievement Awards. The game was later re-released for the GameCube in the form of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest.
North American players can once again help Link on his quest through time for 1000 Wii Points as of February 26. The game was also made available in Europe on February 23.
