The piece isn't exactly recognizable from the word go, but when the references do manage to make their in they managed to show a good amount of energy while fitting with the dramatic tension of the game's final battle; it can also be argued that the track's hard house interface may make it sound a bit cheesy for its given purpose but it has still got enough elements to keep the listener involved. The execution is fine for a good amount of time - mind, there didn't seem to be much misplaced notes, but I noticed that the progressions of the samples may feel a bit difficult for those not into the genre; also, I'm not too sure about some of the progressions from 3:28 onwards, which managed to provide some light dissonance along the line. It's understood that the source is very difficult to provide justice to when providing an arrangement, but given the attempt this is one of the better ones I've seen in spite of it being an electronica song that may sound cheap for some. I did manage to notice a fair amount of variance on the line between the second and third minute marks what with the synth progressions providing a melodic variation on the choir's rhythmic progressions, but outside than that the sampled voices - in spite of their chopped progressions - seemed to feel a bit static in terms of progressions. The general structure behind this is a typical hard house progression, so judging what has been intended by the mixer here I feel that people need to be really into the genre to be able to understand his intentions. And if they are, they'll see into some solid work all around.

Creativity

There did seem to be some thoughtful creativity through some original textures, most notably around the accompaniment progressions and some interesting thought between the 2nd and 3rd minute marks. The sections seemed to link together well and provide a smooth ride almost all the way through - when I mean almost, I noticed a few pauses that went through the "Vene vene venias, ve ne more facias" riff area that seemed to disrupt the flow of the build from 1:47-2:28, but it still managed to fit okay. The textures have managed to keep a firm pace throughout, thus providing enough energy to be able to satisfy fans of the genre. There didn't seem to be much repetition down the line, which can easily be seen as a good thing, but as the listener ends up absorbing the piece more some of the progressions may end up feeling a bit rehashed after a while. It's also shown to be a rather enjoyable song, but given what has been layered out it may not quite be there for everyone.

Production

The sound fonts chosen are shown to be clear, precise and well chosen; not only do they seem to be fitting for the genre, but they also seem to provide a fresh listening experience for the audience all around. The mix is loud and brash when it came to the general EQ emphasis and some of the synths also benefit from some light moments of sustain, even though it's felt that the ending could have done with a burst of said processing element to make it sound warmer. The extracted choir chants seemed to be a bit on the quiet side, and those hesitant pauses (as mentioned in the above paragraph) didn't seem to help much either, but their placements have been provided very firmly otherwise. The sound levels are very "in your face" and fitting for its given purpose, which has easily been shown by the energy as granted by the samples; while the light volumes for the choir progressions seemed to slightly subtract from the experience, they still worked just as well. The panning techniques have also got a firm grasp on instrument positions to emphasize on the space throughout, although it could have worked better if the choir extract benefited from being provided with a stereo image down the line. So generally, some of the technical quirks ended up lying with the choir, but if that can be looked beyond the listener's horizons, they will be in for a firm experience throughout.

The use of vocals in this song, amongst other things, makes the source material undeniable to anyone who has played this game. The difference in style between the original and this is what helps it stand alone. Nicely remixed.

Creativity

This song starts off with the listener wondering where its going to go. I like the synthetic crescendo and decrescendos at the beginning, prior to the theme coming in. The main section is very well put together, its nice to hear it come back again towards the end. The section at 1'49 is the most interesting, as it seems to really get the song moving forward towards a grand end. This end doesn't come, but instead it comes back down to make way for more of the song. The songs individual sections to start to feel almost too repetitive for even this style of music, but every time that happens, the next section is right there. My biggest concern with this song is that it gets a little to thin at the end, like the middle has just gone a disappeared. Overall a job well done, something that will keep the my car bouncing for weeks to come.

Production

I like the vocal samples, very well used. I think a little more could have been done with panning to widen out the song, but the doesn't lose much without it. The mixing job is solid, and well done.
