Lucca, from Chrono Trigger, assuming Tactics Ogre's "Witch" class. Not the most fitting class in terms of her in-game abilities, but I thought it'd be interesting to give her a class steering her more toward her magical, rather than technological, talents. Maybe I should do a pic of her as an Engineer like Mustadio from FFT!

Frankly, I think this turned out better than I'm capable of doing! Where did all that attitude come from? I sure can't draw that much attitude!

My second picture of a Chrono Trigger character as a Tactics Ogre Character Class. In trying to make Marle's weapon a fusion of her crossbow and a TO cleric's ankh-staff, I ended up with this huge arbalest-thing that probably requires a bipod to set up and fire. I kind of like it.

I really admire Lucca. She takes genuine pride in her scientific talent, yet through her adventures she develops humility and comes to acknowledge a higher power. I created this picture to applaud the traits I most admire in her: her skill, self-confidence, and sense of wonder at the universe. Joe Harris helped me revise the first version of this piece

Behind the cute facade of Disgaea's archers lies one of the most potent damage-dealers in the game. That's what I was going for with this "class change" picture. To that end, it seems I've once again drawn Marle with a disproportionately massive crossbow. Seriously, that thing will mess you up.

My friend Tania requested this piece, as partial payment for some website redesign services. I actually haven't played up to this event in FFIX, but I still had fun creating the piece.

Coloring by Joe Harris, lineart by Jackson Ferrell. This collaborative fan art effort is a tongue-in-cheek look at life through Edgar's eyes.

I first played FFVI in 6th grade, and I always wondered why the characters' appearance didn't change when I re-equipped them with new armor. As I learned more about programming limitations, I came to understand, but I remained intrigued by the stuff that wasn't represented onscreen: for instance, dressing for cold weather.

Did anyone else find it at once amusing and vaguely disturbing how Cloud spent almost all of FFVII utterly incapable of moving on after Aeris? Dude, Cloud, I know she was awesome and everything and then she died, but look: then she was able to augment the power of Holy and save the planet from beyond the grave. Okay? Here is this chick Tifa who is totally into you and is not dead. You know she used like half a can of hairspray to get her hair like that for you. Man, seriously, get over it.

Gotta say, I really like this round's theme. The "unsung heroes" thing has got so much potential! I almost wanted to include SaGa Frontier's T260G in this piece, but the pic is busy enough as is. Maybe sometime I'll do a crossover-combo piece with a bunch of RPG robots, I dunno.
