While visiting with Atlus today, RPGamer managed to gather some information on its upcoming Game Boy Advance RPG, Riviera: The Promised Land. Atlus revealed that Riviera will contain light dating sim elements, which should add an interesting level of detail for handheld gamers. Additionally, while showing off the game's artwork, it was mentioned that the game's artist is a newcomer to the scene whose work is growing in popularity.
Combat will feature arcade-style action in combat, and there will also be some dungeon hazards that require slick moves to overcome. While the game is linear, the dungeons are open-ended and can be beaten in a number of different ways, adding significant replay value. Overall, Atlus indicated that gamers can expect roughly thirty hours of action.
At this point, Riviera is due out on June 25th. Keep watching RPGamer for media from this game, as well as continuing coverage from the E3 show floor.
