For many of us, 2004 was a year to remember in gaming. The PC gained a slew of new, innovative online RPGs and took the platform of gameplay to new--more popular heights. The GameCube saw unparalleled successes with such unique games as Baten Kaitos and Tales of Symphonia, two very large names this year. While the Xbox languished with broken promises, the light still shines strong with just what could have been with their much-hyped, formerly Ego'ed Fable. Gaming, and RPGamers, saw a new age of innovation from the days of hack-and-slash level up games, and this year is only the beginning. Congratulations go out to all placing winners and the just-shy honorable mentions, and to all the games that did not receive mentions this year RPGamer says this: you were fun too!
