Square Enix announced that Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will receive an open beta in North America and Europe. The beta will be available for PlayStation 4 users with a PlayStation Plus subscription and run from January 12, 2018, to January 21, 2018. Further details, including the exact timings, will be revealed at a later date. On top of this, Square Enix also released a new story trailer for the game at the Jump Festa exposition in Tokyo that can be viewed below.

The third game in the brawler spin-off subseries, Dissidia NT brings together over twenty-five characters from various Final Fantasy titles. The game pits the characters in three-on-three battles with its story mode seeing them summoned as the champions for Materia, the Goddess of Protection, and Spiritus, the God of Destruction. Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will be released for PlayStation 4 in North America and Europe on January 30, 2018.
