NIS America announced that The Longest Five Minutes will be released in North America and Europe in February. The game will be available for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation Vita in North America and PC (via Steam) worldwide on February 13, 2018, with the European Nintendo Switch and PlayStation Vita release set for February 16, 2018. A physical limited edition for Nintendo Switch is available to preorder from NIS America's online stores in North America and Europe. The PlayStation Vita and PC versions will be digital only.

In addition to announcing the release date, NIS America also provided a new overview trailer for the game. The Longest Five Minutes beings with the party's final confrontation with the Demon King, however, the main protagonist manages to lose his memories. The Demon King uses this opportunity to start powering up his final attack, giving the hero five minutes to recall his adventures before it's too late.
