Beamdog, the development team comprised of former BioWare staff, has announced that it is working on Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition, a remaster of Neverwinter Nights. The title is now available for pre-order through Beamdog's website for $19.99. In addition, those who pre-order will be eligible for the Head Start program, where they will be given access to participate in world servers early. A Digital Deluxe bundle was also announced, containing three of the original premium DLC modules, two soundtracks collecting all the game's music, and a new portrait pack. No release date was given for the game beyond "coming soon".
Originally released in 2002, Neverwinter Nights is a multiplayer-focused RPG set in Dungeons & Dragons' Forgotten Realms universe. Players can cooperate in preset campaign modules or design and create their own. New to this release are improved resolutions — both 1080p and 4K — advanced graphics options, and backwards compatibility with saves and mods from the original release. Beamdog is also working closely with the community from the original game on feedback for changes they would like to see implemented.
