Sega recently announced Shining Resonance Re:frain, a remastered version of PlayStation 3 title Shining Resonance. The Re:frain version will be released for PlayStation 4 in Japan on March 28, 2018, and includes all of the DLC released for the original, as well as various gameplay tweaks plus a special what-if mode that adds extra story content and playable party members. No announcement has been made regarding a western release.

The Shining series began in 1991 with Shining in the Darkness and has featured many titles on various platforms and covering various sub-genres such as dungeon-crawlers, strategy RPGs, and action RPGs. Shining Resonance was initially released in 2014 and features a real-time combat system. The game stars Ilburn, supposedly the last surviving dragon after the rest of his kind perished.
