Developer inXile Entertainment and publisher Techland Publishing have announced the release date for Torment: Tides of Numenera. The game, which is a spiritual successor to Planescape: Torment set in Monte Cook's Numenera tabletop RPG setting, will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on February 28, 2017.

On top of the release date, the companies also revealed details and videos for two special physical editions of the game. The Day One Edition includes a copy of the game as well as a soundtrack CD, a printed world map, a digital Traveler's Guide, and the Mindforged Synthsteel Plating in-game armour. Meanwhile, the Collector's Edition features all the contents of the Day One Edition plus an 8-inch statue of the "First Castoff", a physical Traveler's Guide (in place of the digital Day One version), an 80-page hardcover art book, and a Tidal Talisman. Pricing for the editions has not yet been announced.
