A new trailer and a release date were not the only thing revealed for Square Enix and PlatinumGames's NieR: Automata at last weekend's PlayStation Experience event. Publisher Square Enix also announced two limited editions for the game: the Black Box Edition and the Day One Edition.
The Black Box Edition will be exclusive to Square Enix's online stores for North America and Europe, costing $189.99/£169.99 and containing:
- Copy of the game for PlayStation 4
- YoRHa 2B figurine
- Hardcover artbook
- SteelBook case
- 13-track soundtrack CD with live recorded music from Nier and NieR: Automata
- Collector's box
- Bonus digital content (a selection of pod skins and an accessory)
The Day One Edition is priced at $59.99/£54.99 and features a copy of the game plus the same digital bonus content as the Black Box Edition.
NieR: Automata is an action RPG being developed by PlatinumGames and set in the same universe as 2010 release Nier. The game is set to be released for PlayStation 4 in North America on April 7, 2017, and in Europe on April 10, 2017.
