Koei Tecmo has announced that the tactical spinoff RPG for its long-running Dynasty Warrior series will be making its way to the west. Under the title Dynasy Warriors: Godseekers, this new game takes the cast of the traditionally action series and puts it in a tactical RPG skin. Koei Tecmo has an announcement trailer for the game as well as screenshots for the game.

Taking place near the end of the Han dynasty, Godseekers follows Zhao Yun and newcomers Lei Bin and Lixia, the latter of whom is discovered imprisoned in a block of ice, as they become embroiled in the tumultuous Three Kingdoms-era. While trying to find the reason for Lixia's imprisonment, the group is forced into a situation where a difficult choice will have to be made during a key battle.

Released in Japan earlier in 2016, Dynasty Warriors: Godseeker will arrive on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in the west on January 31, 2017. Koei Tecmo plans to release more information on gameplay systems in the following weeks.
