RPGamer's semi-regular Kickstarter Check-In returns to showcase two currently-running Kickstarter funding campaigns for RPGs. This time out we take a look at the campaigns for Dangerous Alone's Rogue Raiders Online and Explosive LLC's Fantasy Conquest Tactics.
 

Rogue Raiders Online

Rogue Raiders Online is an action RPG planned for release exclusively on PlayStation Vita. The game has a heavy multiplayer element, allowing up to four players to team up in cooperative gameplay. There is also a strong focus on exploration in its sci-fi setting.

Players will start by creating their own raider from an assortment of alien races, with various stats and traits that can significantly impact playstyles. They are then sent to a space station hub where various quests, missions, and equipment upgrades can be accessed. Missions take place on designed planets and have varied objectives. Examples include searching for survivors of a spaceship crash, scavenging gear, mapping out a planet, and stealing trade secrets. However, sometimes one of the crew may receive their own secret objective that may run counter to the main mission. In addition to the multipalyer, the game will also feature a single-player offline mode.

Dangerous Alone is currently looking for €33,000 in funding by November 23, 2016. Those who pledge at least €20 will receive a copy of the game as part of their backer rewards. The delivery date for the game is initially estimated for early 2018.

Fantasy Conquest Tactics

Explosive LLC's Fantasy Conquest Tactics is billed as a cross between Final Fantasy Tactics and Advance Wars with a colorful aesthetic. The game sees players attempting to capture villages and castles, using them to recruit new units into their armies.

Over twenty unit types have different attack types, such as melee and ranged as well as their own strengths and weaknesses. Castles will also provide assistance through powers that can be activated by collecting Energy Orbs dropped by fallen enemies. The game will feature a lengthy story campaign, though specific details about the campaign or plot are not yet available.

Explosive LLC is looking for $20,000 in funding by December 1, 2016. Fantasy Conquest Tactics is being developed for PC, Mac, and Linux, with a release being considered for iOS, and has an initial planned release of late 2017. Those who pledge at least $20 will receive a copy of the game as part of their backer rewards. A demo is available to download for those who wish to try out an early build of the game.
