Final Fantasy XV

Square Enix has announced that the long-awaited Final Fantasy XV has gone gold. Along with this announcement came the release of a new short film inspired by the game and the plans for the game's season pass. The short film, titled "Omen", takes protagonist Noctis on a surreal, and violent, journey. It was produced by Digic Pictures, one of the studios that helped create Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV.

The season pass, which will retail for $24.99, will feature three distinct pieces starring each other member of Noctis' party: Episode Gladiolus, Episode Igni, and Episode Prompto. Each episode will give players control of the titular character, each with a unique playstyle. They will also offer new areas and monsters to fight. The episodes are meant to be played during the game, so all items and weapons gained can be used in the main game. After the release of all the character episodes, a multiplayer expansion will be released. This cooperative mode gives up to four players control each member of the party individually as they fight battles. All DLC will be available through the season pass as well as being sold separately.

Final Fantasy XV releases worldwide for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 29, 2016.
