Publisher Aksys Games revealed that it is releasing tactical RPG Langrisser Re:Incarnation Tensei in both North America and Europe on April 19, 2016. The game will be released exclusively for Nintendo 3DS, with the North American release being available physically and digitally while the European release is digital-only.

Released in Japan in July 2015, Langrisser Re:Incarnation marks a revival of the series after a long hiatus. The previous mainline title, Langrisser V, was released back in 1998 for Sega Saturn, though a few titles were ported to new platforms after this date. Only the first Langrisser game was released in North America, under the title Warsong, on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive in 1991.
