Japanese developer and publisher Nihon Falcom confirmed two upcoming RPG titles during a stockholder meeting this week, both new games in long-running series. The first title is a new Ys title, previously teased during a Sony press conference in September 2014. That game has now been officially unveiled as Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, which is due to be released for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in 2016. The first few screenshots from Ys VIII can be found below.
The second game is a new entry in the Legend of Heroes series, The Legend of Heroes: Sen no Kiseki III (or Trails of Cold Steel III). This third entry in the Cold Steel sub-series does not yet have a release date or confirmed platforms, though chances are high of it being on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The previous two Cold Steel games are receiving western releases, with the first game out in North America next week on December 22, 2015.
