The previously-teased fourth Sword Art Online game has been officially announced by Bandai Namco as Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization. This title sees the game series, which diverges from the light novel and anime series after its first Sword Art Online arc, head to a new fictional virtual reality MMORPG called Sword Art: Origin, which uses the servers of the original Sword Art Online as its base.
Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization is due to be released in Japan for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita some time in 2016. More details about the game are expected later this week. There is no news regarding a possible western release at this time, however, Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment has been released in North America and Europe for PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4 with Sword Art Online: Lost Songalso due out on the same platforms in November 2015 in both regions.
