Dragon Age: Inquisition

BioWare and EA have released more new trailers for Dragon Age: Inquisition, which will be released later this month on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.

Two additional character trailers have been released. One gives a brief glimpse of Mage party member Vivienne, who seems unperturbed by the catastrophic events unfolding just outside. The second features Varric, a returning party member from Dragon Age II, in his native tavern habitat.

A third trailer shows party members battling in The Breach, which the player character, as the Inquisitor, is responsible for closing in order to stop demons entering Thedas. Another gameplay trailer provides tips and tricks for the tactical camera, illustrating the player's ability to pause the game to maneuvre party members into desired positions before executing their attacks on enemies.

The final gameplay trailer looks at choices and consequences, a returning gameplay mechanic from previous Dragon Age games. Player's choices on race and gender will affect how characters are perceived by others, as well as romantic options. Choices in dialogue will influence party member affinity, which can lead to personal quests or to characters leaving your party permanently. Political choices, such as siding with the Mages or the Templars in conflicts, will also feature prominently in the game.

The trailer also examines operations on the war table, a new feature to Dragon Age: Inquisition. Players can open operations through Forces, Secrets or Connections in an order of their choosing, which will affect the outcome of the story. Dragon Age: Inquisition will be released on November 18, 2014 in North America, and on November 21, 2014 in Europe.
