NIS America has announced that it will be bringing Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland to North America and Europe. This is the third game of the long-running Atelier series to be released for the PlayStation 3, and continues the story from Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland and Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland, both of which were previously brought to western regions by NIS America. The game doesn't have a specific release date yet, but it will be available sometime in Spring 2012.

Atelier Meruru's titular heroine is the princess of a small kingdom called Arls. She becomes the apprentice to Totori, the heroine of the previous game, and sets out to use alchemy in order to improve her kingdom. In the process she will encounter both new adventures and many characters returning from previous games.
