Square Enix and Eidos Montreal have announced the contents of the collector's edition (known as the "Augmented Edition") and pre-order packs for Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The Augmented Edition sells for $10 more than retail price, while the pre-order packs will be available from various participating retailers.

The Augmented Edition comes with all of the pre-order bonuses detailed below as well as a number of exclusive goodies such as an art book, motion graphic novel, and bonus DVD. The bonus DVD contains a Making Of segment, special trailers, an animated storyboard of the CGI trailer, and a soundtrack.

The first pre-order pack, known as the Explosive Mission Pack, is available only from GameStop. It contains a new mission with a cameo from an original Deus Ex character, a Linebacker G-87 multiple shot grenade launcher, an M-28 Utility Remote-Detonated Explosive Device (UR-DED), and an automatic unlocking device (which is apparently a consumable, so it cannot be used throughout the entire game). Pre-order Pack 2, the Tactical Enhancement Pack, is available from various retailers. It includes the Huntsman Silverback Double-Barrel Shotgun, the Longsword Whisperhead Extreme Range Sniper Rifle, and some extra credits. Here is a trailer for the Tactical Enhancement Pack:
