Mass Effect 2

A representative of BioWare recently posted a clarification of the contents of the PlayStation 3 version of Mass Effect 2 on BioWare's official forums. This post provided details on the bonus content that will be included with the PS3 version.

In addition to the original game, the PS3 version of Mass Effect 2 will contain several expansions and optional content that was available as DLC for the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game. This includes Lair of the Shadow Broker, Kasumi: Stolen Memory, and Project Overlord. Also, like the other versions of the game, the PS3 version will include a code to let players download the Cerberus Network content. Other content that was available as DLC or through promotions will also be available for purchase and download for the PS3 version of the game.

In addition to that content, the PS3 release will have an exclusive digital comic, which will be part of the Cerberus Network expansion and thus free to anyone who buys a new copy of the game. This digital comic will cover the events of the original Mass Effect, providing the backstory to Mass Effect 2 for PS3 owners who did not play the original game. It will also be fully interactive, letting players face the same major choices in the original. It is still a bit unclear, but it appears that these choices can be transfered to Mass Effect 2 itself, and let players run through the consequences of those decisions in the actual game.
